This Refund Policy explains your rights and options when cancelling or changing a booking made through Travelers Carrier. Because we act as an intermediary between you and the airline, refund eligibility and timelines are primarily determined by the airline's own conditions — not by us. We charge zero cancellation fees of our own and will always advocate for the best possible outcome on your behalf.
Airfare refund eligibility depends entirely on the fare type purchased. There are three broad categories:
| Fare Type | Refundable? | Typical Timeline |
|---|---|---|
| Fully Refundable | ✓ Yes | 7–21 business days |
| Partially Refundable | ~ Taxes only | 4–8 weeks |
| Non-Refundable / Consolidator | ✗ No | N/A |
| Airline-Cancelled Flight | ✓ Always | 4–12 weeks |
The fare rules applicable to your specific booking are communicated to you before payment is confirmed. If you are unsure of your fare conditions, please call us before purchasing.
If the airline cancels your flight — for any reason — you are always entitled to a full refund of your ticket price, regardless of the fare type originally purchased.
- You may also be entitled to additional compensation under applicable regulations, such as EC261/2004 for flights originating within the EU or UK, or the US DOT rules for flights into or out of the United States.
- In some cases, you may be offered a rebooking or travel credit instead of a refund. You are not obligated to accept these alternatives — you may insist on a cash refund.
- Contact us as soon as you are notified of a cancellation. We will process your refund claim with the airline on your behalf immediately.
Many of the exclusive consolidator and promotional fares we offer are strictly non-refundable. These fares carry deeply discounted prices in exchange for restrictive conditions. If you choose to cancel a non-refundable ticket, you will not receive any refund of the base fare.
- You may still be entitled to a refund of unused government taxes and airport charges — typically a smaller portion of the total fare.
- Some non-refundable tickets may allow changes to dates or routing for a fee set by the airline. Call us to explore your options.
- No-show passengers (failing to check in without contacting us) typically forfeit all value on a non-refundable ticket, including taxes.
Some fare types allow a partial refund — most commonly a refund of the taxes and airport charges portion of your ticket, while the base fare is forfeited to the airline as a cancellation penalty.
- Tax refunds typically amount to between £50 and £300 per passenger depending on the route and airlines involved.
- In some cases, a fare may be partially refundable if cancelled before a certain date (e.g. more than 30 days before departure). The exact rules depend on your ticket conditions.
- We will clearly advise you on the estimated refundable amount before processing any cancellation so you can make an informed decision.
All refund requests must be submitted to us directly. Do not contact the airline directly for refunds on tickets booked through Travelers Carrier — this may complicate and delay the process.
Refund processing times are set by the airline — not by Travelers Carrier. We pass refunds to you as soon as we receive them from the airline.
| Scenario | Estimated Timeline |
|---|---|
| Fully refundable fare — customer cancellation | 7–21 business days |
| Tax refund on non-refundable fare | 4–8 weeks |
| Airline cancellation refund | 4–12 weeks |
| Credit card chargeback dispute | 30–90 days (bank dependent) |
If you have not received your refund after the above period, please contact us and we will chase the airline on your behalf immediately.
Travelers Carrier does not charge any fees of our own for processing cancellations or refund requests. We believe that when you need to cancel, the last thing you should face is additional charges from your travel agent.
- Any cancellation penalties are set entirely by the airline and specified in your fare rules at time of booking.
- We will always show you the exact amount you should expect to receive before we process a cancellation.
- If a rebooking is possible and preferable, we will explore this option with you — often at no additional agent fee.
